Holiday Itineries

Our base is at Port Geographe Marina, Busselton.

Arrive at 4.00pm for a briefing and overview of the yacht and you have the whole evening to settle on board. The Tides Tavern is at the end of the jetty for a quiet drink or dinner and the marina provides a perfect first night to get used to sleeping on board.

Day 1

You can leave as soon as the sun gets up or have a more leisurely start. If you’re with us for a three day break then head over to Quindalup, where the beach is 12 miles across the bay. This is a lovely sandy beach that is very protected and provides a great spot to relax. From here you can take the dinghy ashore and explore the beach or take a bush walk.

This is one of the most popular anchorages along the west coast. The water is crystal clear and the sea life is fantastic with heaps of dolphins and the occasional whale. Fishing is also great along this area of bay, especially when the salmon are running.

The moon rising over Quindalup is a wonderful sight. Having a holiday in the south west provides a great opportunity to try the best of our south west wines.

Day 2

Head over to Dunsborough and Eagle Bay. The granite cliffs along the coast are spectacular. The little bays along this stretch of coast provide some great swimming and snorkeling spots. A picnic lunch at Eagle Bay and a twilight sail back to Dunsborough make for a perfect day.

Day 3

You can relax or head to Busselton for lunch at the Goose or Equinox restaurants. Both are on the beachfront and you can work off the lunch by walking out to the Underwater Observatory at the end of the jetty.

Day 4

If you are staying longer take a sail up to Bunbury. The regional city center of Bunbury offers fine restaurants, an entertainment centre, movies and a great cappuccino strip.

Day 5

At Koombana Bay in Bunbury there are dolphins right along the coast line, to Port Geographe via Peppermint Beach. On the way you can stop at the Lena Dive wreck just out of Bunbury. The Lena is an impounded fishing trawler sunk in 2004 in 20 meters of water. On a clear day it is easily seen with your snorkel and mask.
