Learn to SailRYA Courses - for details of each sailing course click here Sailing CoursesRYA means we are accredited by the Royal Yachting Association providing you with the highest standard of sail training and a qualification recognised all over the world. We are a family company with over eight years experience in helping people learn to sail. The RYA Sail cruising program is designed for people wanting to sail keel yachts on day or extended cruising. Courses are based on live aboard experiences and include Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster. With an RYA course you will learn how to sail safely and what it is like to live on board a yacht at sea. In Western Australia we have lots of warm sunshine, and a summer weather pattern charcterised by fresh morning land breezes followed by fresh sea breezes. In winter we have brisk cold fronts followed by beautiful winter days with lighter winds. On board you will find professional friendly and fully qualified instructors, modern clean yachts and a commitment to helping you develop the sailing skills you want.
Competent Cew, Day Skipper Coastal Skipper or Yachtmaster courses can be taken as one of our five day learn to sail holidays or they can be taken over any three weekends. If you are an experienced sailor then we can help you acheive your yachtmaster with a program that recognises your skills. Which Course ? Choosing the right entry course depends on your knowledge of sailing and experience. If you are thinking about Day Skipper you need to be sure your theory knowledge is good before you attempt the practical and this should include a reasonable knowledge of how to use charts and tide tables. See our theory courses page for more information. Coastal Skipper is for more experienced sailors and involves night time pilotage and offshore passage work. It requires a more advanced knowledge of weather, the collision regulations and chart work. The RYA coastal / yachtmaster theory course is ideal. If you are an experienced sailor then we can help you acheive your yachtmaster with a program that recognises your skills. We can advise you on the best option and if you have a history of offshore sailing you may want to consider coastal or yachtmaster.
