Mile Builder Sailing Programs

The aim of adventure sailing iis to give you a realistic experience of cruising for extended periods and to have fun. You will sleep on board and share in watch keeping, navigation and helming learning how to keep a cruising yacht fully functional while on passage.

You will build your confidence in offshore sailing and have a chance to really practice your skills in a supported training envirionment. We have excellent Musto Coastal wet weather gear available to keep you warm and dry during your watches and quality fast yachts to eat up passage miles


Dates of Passages

For all passages you will be involved in a pre passage breifing and over view of the yacht prior to departure. These passages are suited to people who have acheived at lease competent crew or who have reasonable sailing experience

December 5 -6. Bunbury to Fremantle
This is a one way passage taken at a leisurely pace to introduce you to cruising. Stop over Saturday night in Mandurah and arrive Fremantle Sunday afternoon it is a great first passage. $690pp

December 12 to 14 Bunbury to Rottnest and return - 200 Nms
This is a passage to Rottnest Island returning via Mandurah.You will experience some night sailing and have the opportunity to do watchkeeping. You will sail on our ocean racing yacht Sunfast 37 complete with Spinnaker: includes all meals on board $1150pp

February 1st - 5th February Bunbury - Geraldton - 270nms
This is a on a Beneteau 411 to Geraldton with stopovers at Fremantle and Jurien Bay. It is an excellent offshore passage. Return to Perth by road included
$1950 pp - 0ne spot left

 

General
All Passages include meals on board while sailing.
Wet weather gear is available for hire. (Musto inshore breathable)
Participants should have some sailing experience.
Miles can be logged towards your Yachtmaster and may include some components of certifcated course requirements
Passages are subject to weather assessment at the time

Other Passage Options

The Queensland Passage option is a twenty day program sailing from Fraser Island to Hanilton island and return. You will pass through the Whitsundays. In Gibralter you will sail to Spain, Portugal and Morrocco taking in some of the worlds oldest and most historic sailing destinations as well as the opportunity to experience foreign sailing.

Gibralter options include passages to Morrocco and Portugal for up to two weeks
